Uprising, or as I have called her from day one "Baby", is one of my most special girls. She is the daughter of the lovely GCH Kastdemur's Make7UpYours who made me fall in love with LaManchas all those years ago. I knew I wanted to have an UpYours daughter to help start my herd, and Baby has certainly made her impact at Goat-San. It all started when Scott Bice of Redwood Hill Farm went to Redding to pick-up +*B Kastdemur’s Rhone from Karen. Karen had called me to let me know UpYours had a doe kid for me. She was only two days old though, so we talked about not bringing her back to the farm when Scott went up. Well when Scott arrived back he had a tiny kennel in the truck too. I looked in and it was love at first sight, my beautiful Baby. As a dry yearling Baby dazzled at her first show going Jr. Champion and BJDIS. About the end of the summer I noticed that her precocious udder had grown, and it was hot and heavy. Baby had contracted dry mastitis. I immediately started working on clearing it up, working diligently though the winter, however, when she freshened as a two year old one side was nearly nonexistent. I was heartbroken, but I promised her that if she worked hard to get back function to that side, I would get her to the shows she needed to finish her championship. While she was never destined to be a great milker, she did work diligently to get that half of her mammary back and now as an old lady has a nearly even mammary. In 2014 as a seven year old, I kept my promise, and Baby finally finished her championship and had her best year yet. Baby has nearly ideal general appearance. She has scored excellent in general appearance every time she has been Linear Appraised. She is a huge goat at almost 33 inches tall, with a long, level, and wide back and rump, strong feet and legs, and a beautiful front end. Her mammary system while not the most capacious has beautiful structure. Baby has made an impact in the herd from her offspring. She has two daughters in the herd right now, and has had as many as four daughters in the herd at one time. She is the matriarch of our young Goat-San herd.
